Amy Sinatra discovered the importance of her own breakthrough thinking skills long before accepting a job with New York City-based abcnews.com as a writer/producer.A 1998 journalism graduate of Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt., Sinatra was one of several students who led the development of her student newspaper's online presence, particularly during her senior year, when she was editor of the paper.
"That involved doing a lot of research on how other sites worked while thinking of an original way to present our site in the best way for our community, all while using the resources we had access to," says Sinatra. But Sinatra's group didn't stop there."There's always a better way to do something -- a new idea or a new technology. So I needed to remember to step back and really look critically at what we were doing, and never rest on what I had already done."She's now an associate producer after one year under her belt.
Demonstrated commitment to learning.
