The Southern Rock Legends appropriately draws its name from the careers of the members of the band, said Hank Simon, executive director of the festival sponsor, the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce.

"We have six band members all from big-name bands and together they have sold 50 to 60 million albums," Simon said."It's going to be a great show and it's free."
Organizers hope to top last year's crowd of 27,000 by moving the festivities to a larger venue, the Brevard Community College Palm Bay Campus, Simon said.Last year, the festival was held at Bayside Lakes.
"We have acts on stage from 6 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, from noon 'til 11:30 p.m. Saturday and from noon until 7 p.m. Sunday," Simon said.

And, this year, there will be free tastings of oranges and grapefruit from Sweet Sunfruit out of Fort Pierce, Simon said.

Sunday's featured agricultural event is a fund-raising receipe contest, Simon said.Winners will take home cookware.
"We are asking that the recipe include citrus or citrus juice or other fruit or vegetables grown in Florida," Simon said.
"Entries must be on the property between 1 and 2 p.m. Bring a sample of the entry and a recipe card.The cost is $5 per entry if pre-registered any time up until Saturday night or $10 on Sunday," Simon said.
On Saturday and Sunday, experts representing the Brevard County Horticultural Extension Service and the volunteer Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions about citrus or any other plants.
Parking will be provided by the South Brevard Robotics Team, composed of local high school students who are raising funds to travel to a national robotics competition in April.
"We will accept volunteers the day of the event, especially to help pour juice," Simon said.
