Sarah Simmons is the fourth grade lead teacher in the 4th/5th grade class.She has a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Elementary Education and Anthropology.She lived in the Washington, DC area, where she worked for the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School teaching third grade general studies.After five great years in DC, Sarah followed her husband to Durham so he could attend graduate school at Duke.Last year, she taught first grade at Oak Grove Elementary in Durham Public Schools.She is excited to be joining the Lerner School.
