Jocelyn Simmons joined Norfolk Constabulary in 2002, and is Head of Learning for the Force.Jocelyn has worked in the field of training and education for over 20 years, and she has considerable experience of the design and development of training solutions to meet organisational needs.
As well as holding the accolade of being the first Chartered Manager in any UK police force, Jocelyn is CIPD qualified and has a degree in International Business and a First Class Masters Degree in Strategic Management.
With a background in both the public and the private sector, Jocelyn has experience of the design and implementation of training courses across a range of disciplines.She has a particular interest in all forms of alternative and blended learning, coaching and mentoring.
Jocelyn is a keen animal lover and owns a horse, two cats, a dog and a rabbit.She has a keen interest in the conservation of sea turtles.Other than horse riding, her sporting interests lie in swimming and scuba diving - and she also enjoys gardening.
Job DescriptionThe Head of Learning is responsible for development of training policy and strategy to respond to local, regional and national needs of the Police Service.
Jocelyn manages members of staff across a range of disciplines including student officer training, PCSO and special constabulary induction training, driver training, general police duties training, crime training, IT training, leadership training, diversity training and Alternative & blended learning, along with all training administration.
