Benjamin S. Simmons

Benjamin S. Simmons, 96, Sarasota, died Feb. 18, 2002.

He was born April 11, 1905, in Washington and came to Sarasota in 1968 from there.He received a master's degree from Georgetown University Law School and retired as an attorney for the federal government.He was a member of Church of the Incarnation and a former grandknight in the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Wynnifred; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. March 1 at Church of the Incarnation.Private inurnment will be later.Robarts Funeral Home is in charge.
