Since 1998, DONA has accepted the 3 day workshop "The R.M.T. as Labour Support Provider" offered by Trimesters Massage Therapy Education in conjunction with additional 1 day training with Anne Simmonds.

The goal of this one day session is to provide additional information and skill building for the aspiring or practising Labour Support Provider/MT.It will clarify the requirements needed in the process of attaining DONA certification.

Anne Simmonds, MN, BScN, RN, ACCE, founder of The Childbirth Network Inc., is a registered nurse with a nursing degree from McMaster University.She is a Certified Childbirth Educator, Maternal-Child Community Health Specialist and Professional Childbirth Assistant.Anne has been providing support to pregnant women and their families in a variety of hospital and community settings for over 12 years.
