Dr Andrew Simmonds is Head of the Computer Systems Department, in the Faculty of IT at the University of Technology, Sydney.He has a wide-ranging career in Telecom development and computer system design, being a specialist in computer networking and data communication.He is the author of a textbook titled, "Data Communications and Transmission Principles: An Introduction".He has worked at UTS since February 2001; before that he was at Sheffield Hallam University.He has taught various networking subjects and currently researches Quality of Service over the Internet and P2P networking.
