Edward H. Simmerman, was called to come home by his heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 30, 2003.

He was born June 29, 1921, in Cornell, to Ivan and Margaret (nee Hakes).Ed served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific from 1943 to 1946.On May 8, 1965, he married Patricia (nee Schneider).He worked in the Waukesha area as a maintenance worker in various foundries and home repair.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, David (Nancy) of Waukesha, Dennis (Bobbie) of Strongsville, Ohio, and Delbert of Madison; a daughter, Darlene Engenhagen of Madison; a stepson, Bruce (Linda) Zarnsy of Rantool, Ill.; stepdaughters, Christine (Rick) Johnson of Waukesha, Pamela (Randy) Hebert of Waukesha and April Zarnsy; brothers, Floyd "Buzz" (Dolly) of Bloomer and Arthur (Peggy) of Cornell; and sister Geraldine (Frank) Kirchmeyer of Chicago.He is also loved by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Ross; and his great-granddaughter, Alexandria.
