Simmer is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Iowa.He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).Simmer is a Fellow of the Life Office Management Association and a Managed Care Associate of the Health Insurance Association of America.He received his B.A., with honors, from Cornell College; his M.F.A., English and Creative Writing, from the University of Arkansas; and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Thomas Poulin's practice focuses on health care in the areas of litigation, business transactions, regulatory and compliance matters.

The state claims are pending a decision by the same federal judge in Pennsylvania on whether to retain jurisdiction of those claims or dismiss the claims, which may then be filed in the state courts, Mr. Simmer said.A decision is expected in the near future, he added.
