Vacation Express' fares between Nashville and Cancun range from $199 to $399 depending on the time of year and market demand, company spokeswoman Victoria Simitses said.

The flights are available as a stand-alone purchase or with a hotel package.

Simitses said the addition of Frontier won't affect Vacation Express' plans here.

"We welcome the competition," she said.
