Edward W. SilverEdward W. Silver is of counsel to the firm, concentrating his practice in the areas of commercial transactions, corporate law, and litigation.Mr. Silver founded the law firm of Silver and Silver and was a senior partner in that firm for over twenty years until its merger with Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP in 1991.
He was a member of the faculty of the Institute for Paralegal Training of Philadelphia, where he taught corporate law.In addition, he has lectured at Temple University Center City (including the Temple Association for Retired Professionals) in various areas of law.
Mr. Silver graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School after completing his undergraduate studies there.He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Curtis Bok of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 1959 to 1961.
He was a founder and former director of the Franklin Mint, and was the chief of a legal office in Japan during his service in the United States Army.
