    Topic: This presentation will explain the benefits and functionality of Guidance Software's latest products, EnCase Forensic v6, EnCase Enterprise v6, as well as Neutrino a new cell phone acquisition solution.

    During his law enforcement career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Customs Service, Office of Investigations, Bill Siebert conducted over 1,000 computer forensic examinations.He has successfully recovered critical digital evidence pursuant to computer forensic examinations, in support of Federal, State, and local law enforcement criminal investigations involving the sexual exploitation of children, drug trafficking, money laundering, financial fraud, commercial fraud, and the illegal exportation of munitions list items.Bill has now testified and qualified as an expert witness in federal and numerous state courts on computer forensic findings and complex digital evidence issues in both criminal and civil proceedings.In December '00, Bill received an award from the United States Attorneys Office, for his contributions in digital evidence recovery in support of critical criminal investigations and prosecutions in the Central District of California.In November '06, he was given the Fellowship award by the Institute of Computer Forensic Professionals.He was recognized for his efforts to advance the industry education and the quality of its examiners.In January 2001, Bill accepted a full-time position and joined the management team at Guidance Software.He is currently a member of the Product Management Team, where Bill is responsible for the software and hardware in GSI's digital investigations product line.

    Bill is a member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialist (IACIS) and the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA).He has received formal training on computer evidence recovery and the science of computer forensics from IACIS, HTCIA, and the National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics (SEARCH).He has successfully completed the four-week Basic Seized Computer and Evidence Recovery School (SCERS) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA and the three-week Advanced Seized Computer and Evidence Recovery School (ASCERS) at the Customs Cybersmuggling Center (C3) in Fairfax, VA.

    Bill has also provided formalized training to other Federal Agents, State, and local police officials on the U.S. Attorneys Guidelines for Searching and Seizing Computers and the best methods for presenting computer evidence in trial.He has testified in federal court on computer issues, as they relate to the proper procedures for processing computer evidence.

    He has received formal Novell network computer training and was also the Novell Network Administrator for the SAIC/Los Angeles local area network.
