Jonathan Shulman, head of the Social Science department at La Jolla Country Day School realized way back in February 2008 that the next Presidential inauguration was bound to be historic.
Jonathan started the planning to bring a Country Day group to Washington, D.C. to take part in the January 2009 Inauguration.

By the time the trip was finalized, Jonathan was joined by Erin O'Grady, Upper School Social Science teacher, and successful writer/producer Steven Calcote, who trained and provided support for the digital recordings by students in the Teens Across Time project.
