Oradell, NJ - Burns and Roe Enterprises, Inc. has announced that William Shingler has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of the Federal Services Division of the company.
This new business unit segregates and continues the significant federal government activities previously done in an integrated division and will contain its own marketing and sales, operations and site office capabilities.
The organization aligns Burns and Roe with the Federal Government marketplace and the substantial opportunities that have been recently developed through a site office strategy.
In this capacity, Mr. Shingler will develop and execute strategies to utilize his long standing relationships and knowledge of the federal marketplace to insure services are provided at the highest quality and performance levels.
He will also have responsibility for increasing the breadth and level of support services Burns and Roe is providing to the federal government agencies.
Prior to joining Burns and Roe, Mr. Shingler worked as an executive officer and manager, overseeing a broad range of programs and services to manage a nuclear defense and environmental cleanup site for the Department of Energy.
As Vice President of the URS Washington Division, he led the Washington Closure Hanford LLC, oversaw business operations and successfully completed the start-up of this new limited liability corporation.
This LLC was created specifically to manage five projects as part of the River Corridor Closure Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Richland, Washington.
He has a Masters Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University.
