    During his career, Bob has lead ventures ranging from venture backed technology startups to national telecom providers.Most recently, he served as President of Broadwing Communications, the nations only all optical network, delivering voice, data and video services to businesses throughout the country.As President, Bob developed and executed an aggressive turnaround strategy which brought the business to breakeven and resulted in the successful sale of the company.

    Bob has also served as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Albion Connect, an emerging software provider to the telecom industry, President of Steadfast.net, a venture backed technology startup, and Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of Sonofon A/S, a national cellular communications provider in Denmark.He began his career at BellSouth where he spent 15 years in various executive and senior management positions both in the United States and abroad.

    Bob was appointed Chairman and CEO of Albion Connect in August 2000.With over 20 years of telecommunications experience , he is responsible for day-to-day operations , ongoing financing and setting the strategic direction of the company.

    Prior to joining Albion Connect , he served as President of SteadFast.net Inc. , a subsidiary of BellSouth Corporation.He founded SteadFast in Austin , Texas in 1999 to provide integrated high speed Internet service and telephony to the mass market using Digital Subscriber Line technology.Prior to founding SteadFast , Bob resided in Brussels , Belgium and was responsible for BellSouth's investment in mobile phone operators Sonofon A/S in Denmark and E-plus in Germany.In 1996 , he was appointed Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of Sonofon and moved to Copenhagen , Denmark.

    Bob began his career with BellSouth in 1976 as a student engineer while attending Vanderbilt University.He earned degrees in Business and Computer Science from Vanderbilt and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University.

His experience also includes 20 years with units of BellSouth in the U.S. and Europe. While at BellSouth, Shingler developed and led several ventures, including serving as executive vice president and deputy CEO of Sonofon A/S, a nationwide provider of mobile communications in Denmark. Shingler holds an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University and a Bachelor's of Science in Business and Computer Science from Vanderbilt University.
