Dr. Cynthia Shields

Dr. Cynthia Shields has been appointed interim associate dean of EOPS/CARE/CALWORKS.She was most recently interim director of outreach and public relations at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, Calif. Shields holds an associate's degree in liberal arts from City College of San Francisco, a bachelor of science in organizational behavior and human relations from the University of San Francisco, a master of public administration degree in administrative organization and management from Golden Gate University, a master of science in educational counseling from National University, and a doctor of education degree in educational leadership, a joint doctoral program of California State University, Fresno and University of California, Davis.

"These are designed for students who want to get ahead," said Cynthia Shields, director of outreach and public relations at LBCC.
