Prashant Shetty was born in the year 1963.He did his MBBS, DNB & MD from the J.J. Group of Hospitals.After completing his residency from J.J. Group of Hospitals, he joined the Department of Imaging of Hinduja Hospital in October 1989.He was promoted to Clinical Assistant from April 1990 & worked till December 1990.

He did his visiting Fellowships in Neuroradiology at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital from Philadelphia, U.S.A. from 1st February 1991 to 30th June 1991 and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania, USA, in July 1991.

He re-joined the Department of Imaging of P.D. Hinduja Hospital as a Clinical Associate in September 1991 and was promoted as a full-fledged consultant from 1st August 1992.

Prashant had an interest in Neuroradiology especially Cross-Sectional Imaging both in CT and MRI.In a short period of time, he was well known as an excellent Neuroradiologist.

He was academically oriented and did many research projects and publications in International Journals.He took a very active part in teaching residents and fellows from outside our instituttion and became popular as a teacher.

Above all he was a warm & genuine human being compasionate towards both patients & co-workers.The void created by his intimely demise will indeed be very difficult to fill both in the field of Radiology & in our lives, may his soul Rest in Peace.
