Anita Shethhas been at Save the Children Canada for past five years.Currently, Anita is working on Save the Children Canada's core advocacy and policy goals: a) The elimination of child trafficking and worst forms of child labour in cocoa production, and b) Child protection in situations of armed conflict.She is a representative of the International Save the Children Alliance advocacy team and is the expert on corporate social responsibility at Save the Children Canada. Prior to coming to Save the Children Canada, Anita undertook policy and research work on corporate diversity and human rights planning for Ontario Power Generation and was involved with assessing the Canadian Patent Right Bill for Pharmaceuticals and its impact on generic companies for Bristol Meyer Squibs.She has worked at Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants and TVO; and on several research projects at the University of Toronto. Anita undertook a Master of Arts at Queen's University, Kingston, Canada and has undertaken doctoral work (ABT) at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, University of Toronto.She has sat on academic journal executive boards, including, the Journal for Feminist Research and Trans/Forms: A Cultural Studies Journal and has published research pieces for academic journals and books.She was an executive board member of Partnership Africa-Canada from 2002 to 2004.
