Sonal Sheth

Sonal Sheth is the High School Program Coordinator.In previous jobs, she laughed every day with her students in India while teaching English, art, and dance, and she educated DC youth about sexual violence.As a daughter of Indian immigrants, Sonal believes that everyone's leadership is needed to end oppression and create a fair world for all.

Local community advocate Sonal Sheth performed an unique dance performance incorporating elements of an Indian dance style, Barata Natyam, and modern dance.The dance performance was set to Sheth's personal narrative of her relationship with her grandmother in India, and her attempts to bridge cultural and language barriers.Sheth works with youth as arts and education coordinator at Asian American LEAD, a community center serving the Vietnamese American population in D.C. that NAPAWF-DC has partnered with on several projects.
