    It is a double celebration for Keith Sheppard of the London office of law firm Lees Lloyd Whitley, who has been promoted to an associate at the firm and made a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX).

    Keith, 29, joined Lees Lloyd Whitley as a practice clerk in 1992.He moved to the debt recovery team as a legal clerk and became a team leader in 1997.He balanced work with part time study to qualify as a lawyer through ILEX in 2003, and will now graduate as a Fellow.

    Originally from Crayford in London, Keith devotes his free time to playing football and golf.

    Keith joined Lees Lloyd Whitley as a practice clerk in 1992 in our London Office.He moved to the debt recovery team as a legal clerk.From 1997 he supervised and managed a team responsible for work on behalf of a government client.In that time Keith specialised in insolvency litigation and regularly appeared as an advocate in the Royal Courts of Justice.

    Whilst working in insolvency he balanced work with part time study to qualify through ILEX in 2003, and is now a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.At the same time the firm accredited him with associate status.

    In the summer of 2004 Keith joined the POA team he has worked on two important cases, the Public Inquiry into the death of Zahid Mubarek, which sat for 65 days in London during 2004-2005 and the inquest into the death of Harold Shipman.Keith now has responsibility for administering the Death in Custody cases and deals with Inquests heard throughout England and Wales.
