President, Kate Sheppard, said she was heartbroken when she stepped off the pitch because the teasm thought they'd lost their chance to win the league, but as they heard that Aberdeen had helped out by beating Edinbrugh, the girls celebrated in emphatic style, especially as finishing top of the league would have been considered unthinkable at the start of the season.
