SmartPay Appoints Greg Shen as Chief Executive Officer

Smartpay Jieyin Ltd ("Smartpay"), a leading provider of electronic payment services in China, today announced the appointment of Greg Shen as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director.
Prior to joining as CEO, Mr. Shen led a buyout and restructuring of Intrinsic Technology, a telecom solutions provider in China, which SmartPay recently acquired.Prior to this transaction, Mr. Shen was Vice President for Asia & the Far East Region for APW Ltd. and Managing Director of APW Shanghai Ltd., a leader in supporting original equipment manufacturers in the design, manufacture and integration of telecommunications, networking, data and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, where he oversaw growing the company to over 500 employees and US$50 million in annual sales.A Shanghai native, Greg graduated with a BS engineering degree from the Harbin Institute of Engineering in 1983, attained a Masters of Engineering degree in 1992 from the University of Wisconsin, and completed his MBA in 1996 from Marquette University.

Mr Shen will also join SmartPay's Board of Directors, joining Eric Rosenblum, SmartPay's Chairman and a founder of the Company, Derek Sulger, SmartPay's CFO and founder and director of Linktone (NASDAQ: LTON), James Ding, the Chairman and a founder of AsiaInfo (NASDAQ: ASIA), Goran Malm, a member of the Board of Directors of Samsung Electronics and former head of Asia-Pacific for General Electric, Patrick Benzie, a founder of Linktone, Carlos Bhola, managing director of 2b Holdings and a former director of Eachnet in China, and Hsiao Wen Lee, the Chairman and CEO of HiTrust.
