Managing Director.Mr. Shelton has over 17 years of experience in corporate and structured finance.Prior to joining Pacific Capital, he was the team leader of the leveraged finance group of BHF Capital and was responsible for marketing and originating senior loans and mezzanine loans to middle market private equity sponsors.

Stephen Shelton joined Laurus in spring 2006.Stephen has over 23 years of experience in corporate and structured finance, geared particularly to small and mid-sizes companies.Stephen s experience prior to joining Laurus includes: Business Development Officer at PNC Business Credit, a national asset-based lender where originated transactions in the $10 Million to $50 Million range; Managing Director with Pacific Capital Resources, a boutique investment bank where he raised capital and disposed of assets for small and midsized companies; Vice President and Team Leader at BHF Capital, a niche cash-flow lender where he originated senior and mezzanine loans; Group Manager of Structured Finance at Mercantile Bank (now US Bank), where he developed a team and introduced a hybrid cash-flow/asset-based product to the market; Vice President at Fleet Bank, where he called on Private Equity and Media clients; Project Manager at Corporate Properties Ltd, a boutique investment bank where he disposed of distressed corporate estate; Real Estate Manager at Continental Can Company, where he managed a portfolio of excess properties and serviced the real estate needs of the mutiple corporate units; and Field Analyst at GE Capital, where he performed collateral exams for asset-based lending.

Stephen received a B.B.A. in accounting from Baylor University and his formal credit training at GE Capital.
