   Jason Shelton is the web designer for Alpha Learning Institute. Jason brings to Alpha a special connection with animals and with the earth, supporting fullness of human potential by facilitating an understanding and appreciation these relationships within each of us with our world and the other creatures who share it.
   
   Jason has been committed to animal welfare since the age of fifteen. At high school in Virginia Beach, VA, he helped create Students Against Cruelty to Animals. After graduation he moved to Radford, VA, where he earned his BS in Geology, with a minor in Physics. While working on his undergraduate degree, Jason and fiancée (now wife) Kim decided to use the web as a tool to bring attention and increase public awareness about the Radford Animal Shelter.

   Jason and Kim fostered beagles for six years. They adopted them from the pound, provided updated medical treatment and spayed/neutered them. "Whatever needed to be done we got fixed," said Jason, "and then we worked on socializing the beagles, because most of them were abused or neglected in some way."
