Mr. Rich Shelp

Mr. Sid Michaels, formerly a sports reporter/anchor at WBRE-TV, an NBC affiliate in Wilkes-Barre, PA., has been named general manager of St. Ann's Media, while Mrs. Vera Kowal Krewsun was hired in June of 1999 as marketing/development director, and Mr. Rich Shelp was hired in November of 1999 as Webmaster.

Mr. Shelp was hired for the position of Webmaster.His duties are primarily to maintain their 3 websites: http://www.themass.org/ -the Media's site used basically for informational purposes, http://www.themass.com/ -the Media's site for Multimedia content, and prayerline.org -the Media's site for submitting prayer requests.He also assists with technical support of day-to-day computer operations of the Media, along with tracking the inventory of Religious items offered by the Media.

Rich graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Letters, Arts & Sciences.Designing his own Major combining Mathematics, Statistics, STS and specializing in Computers.He emphasized how all of these areas related very closely to Computers in Society, and how Society would be lost without these areas in the Technology of the Future.Rich has always been very interested in computers since receiving his first one when he was a young boy.As a young man he was also very active in the Boy Scouts of America and is proud to say he earned, their highest rank, the Eagle Scout Award.

He worked part-time and full-time at Hills Department Store during his school years and afterwards became Merchandise Flow Manager in October 1998.Shortly after becoming Merchandise Flow Manager it was announced that Hills was being bought by Ames Department Stores and shortly after closing its doors, Rich was promoted to Hardlines Manager with Ames in May 1999.Rich stayed with Ames until August 1999 when he started pursuing a Career within his field of Interest.
