Mr. Shellman attended undergraduate school at the University of Colorado where he received the Jacob Van Ek Award , became a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and received his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction.At the University of Colorado School of Law , he was a member of the winning team of the Rothgerber Moot Court Competition.Following graduation from law school , he was a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Erickson of the Colorado Supreme Court.In addition to a law clerk's traditional duties , Mr. Shellman assisted Justice Erickson in researching and drafting numerous articles and speeches.

Mr. Shellman assists clients with comprehensive estate planning to accomplish the clients' dispositive objectives in an estate and income tax sensitive manner.Services range from the preparation of simple wills and trusts to the design and implementation of more complex estate plans involving integrated charitable , family or other gifting programs , the formation of family partnerships and limited liability companies , irrevocable life insurance trusts , and other more complicated wealth transfer vehicles.In addition , Mr. Shellman represents family members , beneficiaries , fiduciaries and creditors in estate administration matters , including formal and informal probate and intestacy proceedings , will contests , guardianships , conservatorships , and accounting actions.
