Erin Mortensen ShellPreschool teacherA native of Maine, Erin grew up in Connecticut and first came to work for the Y many summers ago as a Camp-a-Homa counselor.She loves kids and since her return to the Y she has spent time with every group in the childcare department, from babysitting and infant care right through to Kid's Club, including two years as the KinderKids teacher.Erin says, "I enjoy the honesty and sincerety of children.I love how excited they get with the silliest of things and how nothing is trivial to them.I am so thrilled that every day I get to be exactly where I would choose to be and I can't believe this is my job!"Erin recently got married to her husband, Steve.They currently live in Rockport and are looking foward to starting their own family.She enjoys theatre, music, reading, writing, and anything to do with Disney, from the three years she spent working there.

Erin ShellPreschool teacherErin Shell has been an employee of the YMCA childcare department since November 2001.Erin's roles at the YMCA have included Y-Care teacher, Fun Club camp counselor, Kinder KAMP counselor, and a teacher in the 2 & 3 year old preschool room.Erin is currently the Kinder KIDS teacher.Erin graduated from Wilton High School in Wilton, Connecticut and is looking forward to returning to college to get her degree in Elementary Education.Erin says, "I enjoy the honesty and sincerity of children.I love how excited they get with the silliest of things and how nothing is trivial to them.I am so thrilled that everyday I get to be exactly where I would choose to be and I can't believe this is my job!"Erin enjoys theatre, music, reading, writing, and anything to do with Disney.Erin grew up in Connecticut and after school spent three years working at Disney World in Orlando Florida.Erin moved to Maine in 2000 to be near her family.She currently lives in Camden with her husband Steve.
