   Mr. Shell has gained significant professional experience since joining the firm in 1970.He presently serves as corporate CEO, a position he has held since 1988.He previously served as the Knoxville Office Director beginning in 1977 when he moved to Knoxville.He held similar positions in Morristown (1974-1975) and in Newport (1975-1977).
   
   He is currently responsible for the overall business and design direction of the firm.His design work encompasses such project types as:

   As a Principal and the president of Community Tectonics, Inc., Mr. Shell is also involved in the financial management and professional development of the corporation.His philosophy of professional practice, which employs personalized service to each and every client, forms one of the foundations upon which Community Tectonics is built.
   
   Mr. Shell's unique approach and personal attention to clients' requirements have helped him establish a reputation for the highest of professional standards.Mr. Shell has conducted Educational Facilities Master Planning for thirteen school systems in East, Middle and West Tennessee.
   
   Mr. Shell designed both sanctuary and educational classroom additions to the First Baptist Church, Cleveland, Tennessee, which enabled this congregation to remain on its existing site.He also assisted the congregation in developing a master plan that will allow them to double their present capacity in the future.
   
   He has been the project principal on more than fifty educational facility construction projects in the last ten years.He has most recently designed a new Blythe-Bower Elementary School in Cleveland, Tennessee, and is currently the principal in charge of the design team for Walters State Community College's Sevier County Center development, a new campus for which Mr. Shell proposed the master plan.
   
   Mr. Shell is currently leading design teams for such projects as Cleveland Middle School (1400 capacity), Bradley County's Walker Valley High School (1200 capacity), and two elementary schools (750 capacity) for the Marion County School District.
