   Mr. Sheldon received his first Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in New York State in the Spring of 1980.

   A year later Mr. Sheldon would move to Southern California in order to pursue his engineering career and this more Progressive Martial Arts System. While still too far from Mr. Inosanto to study with him, Mr. Sheldon would obtain his Black Belt in American Kenpo while he was working in San Diego. "Kenpo wasn't as complete as Jeet Kune Do, but it definitely taught me a lot more about how to fight" commented Mr. Sheldon about his experiences there.

   After about five years in San Diego, Mr. Sheldon's career would bring him to China Lake, California where the most rewarding coincidence of his Martial Arts Career would occur. Hoping to find a studio to train at, Mr. Sheldon joined Mike Patke's "Hand of Many Ways" studio at about the same time one of Sifu Paul Vunak's top students, Craig Marr, was also seeking a place to train (he was there on a short military deployment). "It took Mike about two seconds to figure out that we needed to develop a relationship with Sifu Vunak", Kevin remembers.

   Mr. Sheldon became a "Full Instructor" under Sifu Paul in September of 1994.
