Professor Karin Sheldon , J.D.Director of Vermont Law School's Environmental Law Center , and Professor of Law there since 1994 , she is an expert in numerous areas including environmental policy and management , watershed protection , land use and natural resources law , and oil and gas leasing and production.Professor Sheldon is on the Board of Directors of the Mineral Policy Institute , and on the advisory committees for the Conservation Law Foundation , E-Law , and Natural Resources Law Center.She has litigated precedent-setting cases in the fields of federal natural resources law , energy , wildlife , and minerals ; and developed policies on oil spill liability after the Exxon Valdez spill.
