"Eaton Corporation employees have been interested for years in mentoring area youngsters," said Bill Sheldon, enrollment team leader for BBBS."This year, all of the hurdles were overcome and details arranged to make that possible."
Those hurdles included finding time in Eaton employees' schedules to work with the students.
"If we could bring the students to the corporation itself, that problem would be alleviated, so we made it happen," Sheldon said.
The site-based, career-mentoring program is designed to partner adults in the workplace with middle school-aged children.
"We have a similar program in place with the Kellogg Foundation," Sheldon said.

The relationship between the adult Eaton mentors and their mentees will be mutually beneficial, according to Sheldon.
