Andrew SheldonA leader in the radio and television industry for more than 20 years, Andrew Sheldon was appointed Senior Vice President of Television at HSN in late 2006.In this position, Mr. Sheldon plays a critical role in the transformation of the look, tone and feel of the multichannel retailer's television broadcast.
Mr. Sheldon is responsible for talent development, guest and partner on-air training, on-air production development, all aspects of television production, and broadcast engineering.He also oversees the production of video content and creative elements on HSN.com, as well as all partner video productions produced around the world.
In 2007 Mr. Sheldon was given the additional responsibility of Executive Creative Director, providing leadership and vision to all creative assets, including advertising, branding and all promotional material.His creative vision earned HSN national awards for spots that aired on broadcast television across the country, which he executive produced and directed.
Mr. Sheldon has 10 years of retail television experience in the United Kingdom, ranging from television presenter to broadcasting head.Before joining HSN, Mr. Sheldon served as Head of Broadcasting for iBuy TV, an interactive, multi-format auction television channel based in London that he created.
Prior to iBuy, Mr. Sheldon worked with Auction World TV, an interactive, dynamic and fixed-price shopping channel based in London.He joined the network as Senior Presenter and quickly advanced to Head of Broadcasting, where he orchestrated an extensive overhaul of all aspects of the network's television broadcast.Working closely with the merchandising department, he successfully increased product turnover and margin by 60% in just six months.
Before joining Auction World, Mr. Sheldon held on-air duties with top U.K. television and radio outlets including Shop! shopping channel, Heart 106.2, Capital Radio, and Power FM.In the mid-1980s, he became a household name throughout England and parts of Europe as the highly engaging television host for 'Fun Factory,' a top-rated children's Saturday morning TV show broadcast throughout the U.K. and Europe via SKY Channel.
A native of London, England, Mr. Sheldon currently resides in Tampa, Florida.
