Mr. Martin Shelby

Commissioner Martin Shelby was elected to the Largo City Commission in March of 1995 and again in 1998.Born and raised in New York City , he received a fine arts degree from New York University.He spent several years working in New York theater before entering Hofstra University School of Law in New York.

Mr. Shelby is a licensed attorney in Florida and New York.He has served as a state prosecutor , a public defender , an adjunct professor of Applied Ethics at St. Petersburg Junior College and is past president of the Resource Center for Women , a non-profit organization supporting disadvantaged women in becoming self-sufficient.He is a member of the Ridgecrest Elementary School Advisory Council ( SAC ).

Mr. Shelby is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Mediator , and the owner of Epic Dynamics , a training and development company assisting organizations in creating ethics programs.
