Libby "Billie" Myra Sheinbein
Libby "Billie" Myra Sheinbein, age 80, died May 23, 2002 in Phoenix. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to the Valley 43 years ago from Washington, D.C. Known by all as "Billie," she was an extremely active force in the Jewish community. She was a founding member of Har Zion Congregation, Beth Joseph Congregation, the Phoenix Hebrew Academy and the Hebrew Academy of Washington, D.C.; and a lifetime member of Hadassah.
Survivors include her son Irwin (Tina) Sheinbein, daughter Dena Beth (Bruce) Jaffee, brother Lester (Lynn) Ginsberg, and eleven grandchildren.
