The owner and developer of Summit Athletic Club, Stephen Sheffield, took a few minutes to thank the people who helped him get to this point.

"I am so grateful for the team we have had, and for all of the great men and women who have put their blood and effort into this place," Sheffield said.

The new facility cost $5 million.Sheffield said that is partly because the building sits on land valued at $2 million.The club has also opened over 40 new jobs.

"Our lifestyle is now a cut above where it was before," Sheffield said.
