Shirley P. Sheffield currently administers two loan programs through the heart of Texas Business Resource Center located in Waco. One loan fund is SBA affiliated and serves McLennan and surrounding counties with a loan amount of $25,000 maximum. The other loan fund is HUD affiliated and is designated to serve the Enterprise Community of Waco with a maximum loan amount of $170,000. She took this position shortly after her move to Waco in 2000.
Prior to this position, Shirley worked for a major real estate developer in the Austin area. In addition, she served her previous community of Smithville as President of the local School Board and as an avid community volunteer with Girl Scouts. Her extensive experience lending to oil related businesses in Midland as a loan officer with First National in Midland, and then later as a commercial real estate loan officer and assistant vice president for Interfirst Bank in Austin has prepared her for her current lending role.
Shirley graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Management. She is married to Mark Sheffield, the President and CEO of Synergy Bank of Waco. She has two children ages 19 and 14.
She is a member of the local chapter of the National Association of Female Executives. She has been chosen to serve on the Research and Development Committee of the Junior League of Waco, to determine the most pressing needs of the Waco community which can be served by the Junior League's numerous fundraising abilities. -
