    In fact, Target manager Scott Sheffield says the Nobles aren't alone in that thinking.

    "Nowadays (customers) are more savvy to what is tax-free and what isn't," said Sheffield."That way they can plan their shopping accordingly."

    "To us it makes our year, it's very important to us that's why we take it seriously as we do, we'll bring on more team members to help our guests," says Scott Sheffield, manager at Target.

    At Target the holiday hiring process began just after Halloween, and as many as 70 additional employees are being added to the staff to help with the holiday rush.

    "We still have a lot of guests that come in right now, because they don't want to deal with the crowds," said Scott Sheffield, Target manager.

    Stores are already restocking popular school items.In some cases, they've sold out, but say they'll be ready for this weekend, because it's going be packed with shoppers looking to save some dough.

    "If you're shopping for a lot of students, the savings add up and that's why we have a lot of items for that one weekend," Sheffield said.
