Dr. Shah is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine, and has been certified by the National Board of Echocardiography.He received Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine) degrees from the University of Bombay, India.He fulfilled a general medicine residency at the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bombay and an internal medicine residency at Grace Hospital, Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.He received fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, and interventional cardiovascular training at the Arizona Heart Institute and Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
He has been trained in clinical, noninvasive and interventional aspects of peripheral vascular diseases and cardiology.He has level three training in echocardiography and level two training in nuclear cardiology.Dr. Shah is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine.He is originally from Bombay, India.
Publications and Presentations
Since 1991, Dr. Shah has presented more than 20 abstracts at international conferences including the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Society of Microbiology.He has authored several journal articles, which have been published in The Journal of Cardiac Failure, Recent Advances in Chemotherapy, Clinical Cardiology, The Journal of Noninvasive Cardiology, and Hospital Physician.
