Mansi Shah serves as programming director on the SABA-DC Board.Mrs. Shah is an associate at Schertler & Onorato.She joined the firm in the summer of 2005.Ms. Shah has assisted her colleagues in a number of federal and state civil and criminal matters since joining the firm.The cases have ranged from complex white collar matters to violent crimes.Ms.Shah graduated from American University, Washington College of Law, cum laude, in May 2005.During law school she served as senior staff on the Administrative Law Review.She also participated in the Women and the Law Clinic, where she represented a family with an autistic child in litigation against Montgomery County Public Schools regarding the child's special education needs.She also represented a client in a domestic violence matter in D.C. Superior Court.She interned at the Public Defender's office in Alexandria, Virginia.She gained further criminal defense experience the summer following her second year when she worked for a private criminal defense attorney in Washington, D.C.Ms.Shah volunteers for the Criminal Justice Committee of the National South Asian Bar Association (NASABA), which advocates on behalf of South Asian Americans who have been the target of hate crimes and bias-related incidents.Ms. Shah grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and she is a graduate of the University of Richmond holding a B.A. in Political Science and Women's Studies.She is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
