According to Shah, "We have to call up the Marine Drive Police Station to complain about the music a number of times, which goes on even after 10:00 pm.It's only after repeated complaints that the music is shut down.It is not our job to keep calling the police all the time."He continued, "Preparations start two days prior to the functions and water tankers and generator vans are parked on the footpath causing traffic jams and noise pollution (with the noise from the generators.)The association has also proposed to build a glass police chowky under the bridge in place of the one that was broken down following the notorious Marine Drive rape case.Shah said, "We have made it clear that we are ready to sponsor the construction of a glass chowky but so far we haven't got permission from the police.
