  CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - September 29, 2006 - Knaack L.L.C., a division of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and its Emerson Professional Tools business, recently announced the appointment of Chad Severson to the position of president.Severson previously served as Knaack's vice president of marketing and product development.He succeeds Russ Kerstetter who has been promoted to group vice president responsible for Emerson's storage solutions business.
  
  Severson has more than 14 years of sales, marketing and product development experience for various industrial, equipment manufacturers and consumer companies selling into a variety of channels.He began his career at Copeland Corporation, another Emerson division, where he held sales, marketing and product management positions.Before coming to Knaack L.L.C., Severson served as a vice president, marketing and customer service, at Kohler Company.
  
  Severson holds a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., and a master's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
  
  For nearly 50 years, Knaack L.L.C. has been building secure storage products for the industrial and commercial industries.
