Originally from Corpus Christi, Pablo Serna (State of Texas Registered Interior Designer NÂș 9100
) left the south Texas coast to study architecture at Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Environmental Design in 1991.During his course of study, Pablo participated in the international Study Abroad program, traveling to theUniversidad de Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala, as well as personal travel to Rome, Italy and the Aegean Coast between Croatia and Greece.Pablo and his family moved to Austin in the Fall of 1991 to allow his wife, Cecilia, to complete her pharmaceutical degree at the University of Texas.Pablo began work as an intern at the acclaimed firm, Jessen Architects & Associates.
After 6 years, Pablo joined the office of John Volz, a noted historic preservationist and began work on many of central Texas' more famous historical landmarks, such as the Gonzales County Courthouse, the St. Patrick Cathedral in Ft. Worth and Texas' oldest library in current use, the Eugene Clark Library of Lockhart.During his internship with John, Pablo gained valuable knowledge of the Texas vernacular and is eager to bring these details to life in new designs for the next generation of Texans.Pablo joined Studio Mosaic after a brief period of private practice.He is a registered Interior Designer with the State of Texas.
