Fred Seiler

You may have already heard that Fred Seiler was recognized as CCA of the Year in Kansas and immediately made the decision to take the responsibility of heading up our seed division.As you may surmise, we were sorry to have him move from his current position, but we were delighted to have him accept the challenge of developing our seed division into the best in the Midwest.Fred brings not only practical knowledge but a very good sense of the challenges producers face in making hybrid decisions that are right for their operation.I am very confident that Fred"s skills, leadership and ability to develop a team around him will prove to be just what you need to realize your farm objectives.

Fred Seiler, Mid Kansas Coop

Fred Seiler, Seed Sales Manager, joined MKC in 2004 as a Field Marketer and transitioned to Seed Sales Manager in September, 2006. He is a graduate of Kansas State University with a B.S. in Agronomy. Fred's industry experience includes 7 years as a crop consultant for Servi-Tech Inc. and 15 years as an operations manager for G&C Farms of Inman, KS.

Fred is a member of Kansas Agricultural Research Association. He is CCA certified and is also a Certified Professional Agronomist. Industry honors include 2006 Kansas CCA of the Year and Croplan Genetics Eagle Squadron member. (The Eagle Squadron represents the top 10% of over 3500 seed salespeople nationally in the cooperative system.)

Fred and his wife, Janet, have two children and reside in rural Inman.

Limited Soybean Seed Supply Predicted by Fred Seiler, Seed Manager

Weather this past summer in the southern United States where some of our soybean seed is produced has caused low germination and poor seedling vigor leaving some seed to be abandoned.

Fred Seiler, Mid Kansas Coop Field Marketer, has been recognized as Kansas Certified Crop Advisor of the Year by the Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association (KARA).This prestigious award recognizes Fred as a certified crop adviser who delivers exceptional customer service, is highly innovative, shows that he is a leader in his field and has contributed substantially to the exchange of ideas and the transfer of agronomic knowledge within the agriculture industry.Fred joined Mid Kansas Coop as a Field Marketer in October, 2004 and has 24 years of crop consulting experience.He is based in Haven and serves 37 accounts in the Mid Kansas Coop southwest area which represents more than 40,000 acres of irrigated and dry-land farming. Fred will be recognized in November at the annual Kansas Agribusiness Expo in Wichita.The Kansas CCA Board of Directors has also nominated Fred for the International Program in which a winner will be chosen sometime before November.
