Dieter Seiler, born 1969, studied percussion at the Universities Graz and Vienna.

As a member of Concentus Musicus, Wiener Akademie and the ensemble Armonico Tributo he is a specialist for historical timpanis and percussions.

He is also member of the Ensemble des 20.Jahrhunderts, cooperates with Klangforum Wien and works as a soloist on contemporary percussion-literature.

Dieter Seiler was member of Camerata Salzburg, from 1993 to 2005 he was timpanist and percussionist of the Bruckner Orchester Linz, since 2006 he is principal-percussionist of Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
