Laurence Seifert Laurence "Larry" Seifert retired in August 2001 as the Executive Vice President of AT&T Wireless Services Group and COO of its Fixed Wireless Services Unit. Previously, Seifert was Vice President of AT&T Global Manufacturing and Engineering and was a member of the Bell Laboratories Cabinet, which oversaw R&D programs and policies. Seifert has also served at AT&T as Vice President of Communications Products Sourcing and Manufacturing, Vice President of Engineering, Manufacturing Research and Development, Vice President, and Director of Engineering, and he spent ten years in Product Management and Marketing.

Seifert's international experience includes stints as CEO of AT&T Consumer Products-Mexico, and CEO of AT&T Consumer Products Singapore and Thailand. He began his career in 1957 at Western Electric's Kearney Works.

Seifert holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He currently serves on The Board of Overseers of New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 1989
