  MINNEAPOLIS (March 20, 2008) - United Properties, which will reorganize its real estate services divisions under the NorthMarq name in May, today announced the addition of Ken Seifert as vice president - retail property management. Seifert, who has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, will provide leadership to the company's retail property owner teams, assist in new business pursuits and help lead division growth initiatives.

  Seifert most recently served as senior vice president in the asset management division of Capital Growth Madison Marquette (formerly Madison Marquette Realty Services), where, during his career, he oversaw a real estate portfolio of 26 million square feet in California, Washington, Florida, Texas, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee and Missouri. While at the company, he also spent eight years as vice president of financial planning and operations. Previously, he was with Angeles Corporation and the Center Companies.
  
  Seifert is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA). He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Southwest State University and his master's of business administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas and has passed the CPA exam.
