David Seifert, the city's information technology director, said the interruption in land line phone service, e-mail and fax capabilities to all city departments will begin around 5 p.m. on Thursday, and last about 22 hours while the servers are moved from the old building to the new.Phone lines and e-mail servers should be back up by mid-afternoon on Friday, Seifert said.

Emergency 911 operations will not be affected, Seifert said.
