John Seiders, Pastor Executive Duties
Rev. John Seiders grew up in Westfield, NJ.He pursued a major in Criminal Justice at Union College and later continued his studies in Sociology at Rutgers College, graduating in 1980.Following completion of a Masters of Divinity program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, John accepted a call to serve as the Youth Pastor at the Presbyterian Church in New Providence, N.J. After five years in New Providence, John served as Area Director with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) in Eastern New York State, overseeing ministry on 15 college campuses.He then moved to Madison, Wisconsin to serve IVCF as Assistant Director of Training and Education.
While working with IVCF, John was active in the life of the Brunswick Presbyterian Church (Troy, N.Y.) and Westminster Presbyterian Church (Madison, Wis.), serving as a Parish Associate as well as taking an active part in presbytery programs.In 1999 John accepted a call to First Presbyterian in Bethlehem, where he and his wife Ruthie served as Co-Directors of Youth Ministries.On September 1, 2004, John assumed the position of Pastor for Executive Duties.John and Ruthie have two daughters, Rebekah and Anna.

In his free time John enjoys woodworking, sports, jogging, reading, and being involved in the lives of his daughters.

When her husband John accepted a call to serve with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) in upstate New York, Ruthie accepted a call to serve as Christian Educator at Brunswick Presbyterian Church in Troy, N.Y. After John's transfer to the national office of IVCF, Ruthie was called as Director of Christian Education and Nurture for Westminster Presbyterian Church in Madison, Wis.
