   "It used to be thought that women didn't start having sex until their 20s, when they got married, but now they have become very attuned to their sexual feelings," said Dr. Robert Taylor Segraves, a psychiatrist who specializes in female sexual problems.

   Relationship problems often are the root cause of a lack of desire, impacting women more than men, said Segraves, a psychiatrist at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
   
   "Women are less likely to feel sexual desire after an argument with men, and problems in the relationship are going to affect female desire more than men," he said.
