TONY SEARLES has been a District Councillor here for the past eight years and was previously a Parish Councillor for 8 years - he has a wealth of knowledge of the area.
Tony is married with four children, two of which are still at school.His father was also born and Christened in Horton Kirby.
Well known in the three villages as a person willing to help residents with their problems, Tony is also a member of the Development Control Committee at Sevenoaks District Council (SDC) and has been at the forefront of the development at Horton Kirby Paper Mill site, ensuring that residents' comments are heard.Tony is also a member of SDC's Social Affairs committee dealing with real community issues such as policing and health care.
Tony Searles' Voluntary work includes being a past Non-Executive NHS Trust Director, Friend of Mencap; Chair/Vice Chair of the Alzheimer & Dementia Support Society and School Governor.Tony gives a lot of his time to Voluntary Groups and he knows the needs of the older generation.
In Local government, Tony is currently a Sevenoaks District Councillor; and he was Mayor of Swanley.
Tony Searles is a Round Table Member and former President of Table 41 Club.
Tony likes to spend his free time (which is not a lot) with his family.
